INFRACAM PROJECT - EUREKA PROJECT FINISHED
    November 2014
The primary goal of the INFRA CAM project is to develop a prototype for a functional camera system with image analysis based on infrared technology for use in micro- and macro-flow testing, specifically optimized for small experimental laboratory animals, mainly mice. With the infrared thermography the micro- and macro-flow can be studied in inoculated (subcutaneous) tumor and surrounding normal tissues in experimental animals with a non-invasive and non-contact method in vivo, in situ, i.e. without removal of the tumor in its original tissue environment.

The project was completed with the collaboration of the 2nd Department of Pathology at the Semmelweis University, the National Institute of Oncology and the Croatian VIDEA company.
The successful implementation of the project was
supported by EUREKA National Project Office

    HEXIUM DEVELOPING TRAFFICAPTURE

  • DO YOU HAVE A BOMB? - NEW POTENTIAL CONTROL TECHNOLOGY FOR AIRPORTS
    September 2014
As a result of “Development of equipment and technology to examine stress reactions in the field of law enforcement and crime prevention” R&D project (ID number KMOP-1.1.1-07/1-2008-0053), successfully completed by HEXIUM Technical Development Co., Ltd., the TIPS thermal imaging polygraph may soon be effectively used in airport security during check-in for critical flights.

The project was implemeted under the "Support for market-oriented research and development" program HUF 56.80 million, of the total project cost HUF 102.85 million, was non-refundable subsidization from the European Regional Development Fund and the Hungarian central budget. The Specialists from HEXIUM presented the result of several years of intensive research and development, the – for the time being – laboratory equipment called Touchless Infradiagnostic Polygraph System (TIPS).

The most important part of the prototype developed with domestic and European Union support is a thermal imaging camera that can detect the slightest changes in the observed person's face. Mathematical analysis of thermal image of a person's face, its micro-movements, breathing and blinking while answering questions composed by police psychologist allows to highlight stressful people. The body stress-reaction alters breathing and circulation , thus the former can be inferred from the measurement of the latter. The method can be adapted to detect a lie or even to determine the stress status of persons exposed to great physical or mental exertion.

One of the main goals of the equipment is rapid pre-testing of suspicious persons in airport passenger traffic, but can also be used for aptitude testing of public transport drivers. Despite the traditional physical-contact sensors may affect the person tested, they can change the parameters to be measured, not to mention the discomfort and time investment of putting on the sensors, non-contact technology has not been used in investigation of stress reactions, until recently. The huge advantage of the infrared thermography based equipment, developed in this project, is that it is entirely harmless and does not create any physical contact with the human body, therefore the measured parameters are less influenced by the test, ie reducing the distortion of the results.
The term infradiagnostic® in relevant context is a registered trademark of
the HEXIUM Technical Development Co., Ltd. in the European Union (ID No: 6016349).

The prototype of the device was developed with the support of
UMFT operational programme ID number KMOP-1.1.1-07/1-2008-0053.

    MEDIUM-RANGE MULTISPECTRAL HANDHELD CAMERA (HX-IDS-MS-110)
    June 2013
HEXIUM Technical Development Co., Ltd., the specialist of unique devices, has developed the HX-IDS-MS product family for supporting professional defensive and safety applications.

These devices contains our engineers' more than 30 years of experience in infrared imaging; the most modern sensor technology used in Space (EarthCARE Satellite Mission); the powerful DaVinci processor family; a user-friendly software and moreover an easy to use mechanical construction.

The HX-IDS-MS devices can be used for military purposes, police, border surveillance and military reconnaissance also.

The integrated thermal camera is designed for use in harsh weather environments and operates in extreme light conditions. The technology provides the ability to detect, recognise, identify target and define its position through at night or even in foggy conditions. According to our experience the thermal imaging camera can help finding people even at daylight when they are hiding in the bush or in the woods. Visible range colour imaging camera with parallel optical axis produces ultra-sharp images even from a distance of several kilometres. The 10x focus distance zoom optic supports detection during day time even with display of the images of the thermal imaging camera.

Due to extending visible wavelength the camera can produce high quality images (by extending visible wavelength) even in half-light. The laser range finder (LRF) with parallel optical axis for 5.000m can detect exact position of the target. Its laser diode meets the international eye safety standards. The three axis digital magnetic compass, which can be built in as an optional accessory, with the LRF and GPS belonging to the basic facilities can detect the GPS coordinates of the measured object in order to display it on the optional digital map. The device can record one hour continuous video stream by either daylight or thermal camera and both can record hundreds of images. The binocular finder can be adjustable to the user's eyes and equipped with an eyecup.

HX-IDS-MS camera is designed for use in harsh weather conditions and is equipped with cover and interface which meet the international standards. The exchangeable military category battery operates up to 4 hours. Accessories are a carrying bag designed for use in harsh environmental conditions with power supply adaptor (230VAC) and cigarette lighter adaptor, a backup battery, cleaning equipment and a user guide. The camera can be mounted on a standard tripod.

    Options:
Tripod, WLAN module, GPRS/3G module, DMC (Digital Magnetic Compass) module and 7” display image storage external unit.

NEW HEXIUM TRAFFIC MONITORING SYSTEM IN SÁRVÁR
    July 2008
We installed a new traffic monitoring system in Sárvár, which operates with HEXIUM UTCU license plate recognition units.
UTCU License Plate Recognition Unit in the town
With this system the leader of the town have two main aims: on the one hand the reduction of traffic offences, on the other hand crime prevention.
The HEXIUM UTCU units take pictures of each vehicle, which drives through the town. The system archives the data.
If a criminal offence happens, the police can check retrospectively, what vehicles arrived in the town or left it in a certain time period. In this way our system helps the police of Sárvár with the earliest possible clearing up criminal offences in addition to crime prevention too.
